Ram's larger, lighter 1500 makes wide use of hybrid system for 2019

One of the features not to miss on the 2019 Ram 1500 -- which the company showed off last week -- is a new eTorque mild hybrid system that improves fuel efficiency and cranking power of both the available 3.6L Pentastar V6 and 5.7L HEMI V8 engines. Ram explained that the system can add up to 90 lbs.-ft. and 130 lbs.-ft. of short-term torque to the engines, respectively.

Ram Trucks provided a more in-depth look at the 2019 1500 Limited and Rebel pickups and new tech and features unveiled. Check out views around and inside the two models, some breakout shots of new hardware, and a look at interior storage and new functions engineered into the truck.
