Harbor Glass Body/Service Body Combo

Here's a sneak peek at a custom Glass/Service Body that Harbor Truck Bodies recently produced for Henry's Glass & Mirror in Bermuda Dunes, CA.

The body is half service body and half glass body. This particular unit is 8' long and mounts on a standard single rear wheel 3/4 or 1-ton pickup chassis. This gives it a lot of flexibility in the choice of chassis (cab styles, interior trim, 2/4 wheel drive, etc.) as well as maneuverability because of its relatively small size. As you can see, it is no bigger than the pickup parked next to it, albeit, slightly taller.

So, now that we have built this one, Harbor can build more and maybe one for you! Call Harbor Truck Bodies at 1-800-433-9452. If you need some glass work in SoCal, see Henry's Glass website at www.glazcon.com, or call them at 760-360-2800.

Warren and Lonnie Having A Great Time Working Hard?

Working hard was never so much fun as Warren Mason, Director of Sales & Marketing, and Lonnie White, Sales Manager make it seem. Doesn't look like work at all, does it?

This last Thursday, April 14th, the Nor Cal Ford Truck Club held their Spring Golf Event, but this time with a twist. It was a Customer Appreciation event where dealers bring their customers out for a fun day of golf, great food and it is a wonderful way to reinforce the relationship that they have with their dealership and the product as well. Len Deluca, head of the Ford Commercial department of Ford Motor Company was the guest speaker and it was great to have many customers get the experience of meeting him and having him interact with them.

Harbor Truck Bodies has long been a supporter of the Nor Cal Ford Truck Club since its inception. Harbor is proud to be a part of such a great and well run organization. See more about the Nor Cal Ford Truck Club at www.norcalfordtruckclub.com. We also have a link on our website to several truck clubs. See them at www.htbi.net.

Cab High Service Body Is Becoming Very Popular

Our own Tony Anderson is showing off another 56" high service body, or you could call it a cab-high service body. This style of body on the single wheel chassis is becoming a lot more popular. No wonder, because it has more closet space!

In this case the upper doors open upward so that it is convenient and easy to operate. That added storage can make all the difference. This particular unit has a solid cargo bed area enclosure, but many people choose the 3-piece opening cargo bed enclosure to allow full access to about two thirds of the bed area and then can be closed and locked for security.

What is also becoming more popular is installing a bed slide in the cargo area to make it easy to access the full length of the cargo area without climbing in the back on hands and knees.

So there you have an excellent combination: a 56" high body with closed or slide top cargo enclosure and a bed slide. Give Harbor a call at 1-800-433-9452 and let us help you put your individual touches on one of our great bodies.

A Whole Lot Of Rack Goin' On

There's a whole lot of rack goin' on here! Seems overpowering for a smaller truck, but is for specific uses that make sense for this business. Notice the taller sides, stop in front of rack but not all the way forward. Notice that it is designed to have cargo on both sides yet leave the center area accessible to the cargo area. Notice also the forward structural support posts. Notice the double supports where attached to the body and also notice the width of the rack assembly for maximum space available. Of course, the whole thing is bolted and thereby removable just in case they need some major engine work where the cab is removed on the Ford this package rests on. Last, notice the spare tire mounted in the bed area.

Custom racks. Harbor Truck Bodies builds a lot of racks and many of them are customized as customers have need. Give Harbor a call at 800-433-9452 and discuss your rack needs.
