Harbor Truck Bodies Announces New A-OK Option For All One Key (Single Key) Operation

Harbor Truck Bodies announces a wonderful option for our service body and tool box products: The A-OK Lock System, or the All One Key Lock System. This is a new lock cylinder of high quality components manufactured by Bolt Locks, part of Strattec. These locks are also available in padlock form and the video below shows how those operate. The locks shown above operate in the same way. Once the ignition key is inserted and twisted, the lock remembers only that key and then you can use your ignition key for all the locks on the service/utility body. Think how great it will be to only need to use that one key for your truck and all the doors on the service body! No more fumbling for the right keys.

Call Harbor at 800-433-9452 for more information on this exciting option--the A-OK Lock System.

Harbor's New Hauler Body Is Available In Single and Dual Rear Wheel Models

Photo courtesy of Harbor Distributor, North Bay Truck Body, Fairfield CA

The new hauler body from Harbor Truck Bodies is designed with a 5th wheel hitch in mind and has a lower height than our standard low profile body. This body is 30" compared to 33" for the low profile body. This allows the connection of the trailer and to be able to turn without affecting the compartments. Yet, this body still holds a good deal of cargo.

The front compartment opening is 24.5" x 30" and the rear is 22.5" tall by 16" wide. This allows for good sized items. The horizontal compartment opening is 38" long by 7.25" tall. The compartments are actually slightly larger than this, but these are the opening dimensions on the 8' body. Available for single rear and dual rear applications.

A nice looking body that is so much more functional than the standard pickup for this configuration. Order a hauler body to improve your trailering life!

Give us a call at 1-800-433-9452 for more information, or visit our website at http://www.htbi.net/

Interesting Touch To A Combo Body

This is a little twist on a combo body from Harbor Truck Bodies in Brea, CA. Harbor calls this the ComboMaster Body and the twists are these:

This unit has a horizontal series on the curbside and vertical series on the streetside. It is very unusual to see a horizontal series on a combo body--matter of fact, this is the first I have seen in all the years I have been around bodies. Horizontal series means that the horizontal compartment extends beyond the normal place just over the wheel well and usually it extends to the end of the body to the rear and then instead of having a vertical door, there is a small square door and compartment.

In the case of the combo body, there is no rear vertical compartment, so in this case the horizontal compartment is extended through the second vertical compartment to the front and the smaller square compartment below. Very interesting mix on compartments. This style allows for longer tools and other objects to be stored in the much longer horizontal compartment.

The other twist which has become more common as time moves forward is the fold-down gates and then the spray-on liner has become very popular too. This particular body also has the Master Lock System, Stainless Steel Open Top Lids and a Forklift Loadable Rack which is bolted, not welded on and has no posts at the rear allowing full use of the work area which makes the combo such a popular unit.

Check out all the offerings at www.htbi.net or call Harbor at 800-433-9452.

14' StakeBed w/48" Gates, Many Underbody Boxes In A Row

It is very common to have one underbed box mounted near the cab on a flatbed, but take a look at this approach. Here is a series of underbed boxes of varying sizes that are connected with a wheel skirt insert making it look like it is not a flatbed at all, but something else. In this case, the bed is a 14' stakebed from Harbor Truck Bodies in Brea, CA. Just think of all the stuff you can put in all those compartments which are 18" deep! Then do it again on the other side. What a great way to be able to carry things that are kept out of sight and out of the weather while doing the things you need to do with the stakebed. A great combination!

Let us build one for you!

Harbor Steel Flatbed with Steel Fold-Down Side 36" Gates

Here's some photos of a nice flatbed with steel fold-down sides and swing-away rear gate system. This one was specially built for Mark Christopher Chevrolet. It also has a non-forklift loadable rack. Notice the center post when the two sides are folded down. That post is easily removed just by lifting it out, so this unit can easily be loaded from the side manually or with a forklift.

Did I mention it was also a nice looking unit? Looks like a great stock piece to me. Call Kimberly or inside sales at 800-433-9452 and visit our website at www.htbi.net.

Welder's Low-Pro 9' Dually Service Body w/Closed Top Lids

Here is another style of welder body produced by North Bay Truck Body in Cordelia, CA. It starts with a 60" CA Super Cab Ford F-350 chassis, then add a low pro closed top Harbor service body. I think this is so interesting because the low pro and the closed top body is a unique combination. Notice you can see the whole rear window. The closed top means that many things (compressors, generators, you name it) can be mounted on top of the body.

Along with the custom rack, this unit also has a Miller Blue Star 185 welder, a fuel tank at the bulkhead, 2 vise brackets at the rear, a wheel chock holder and much more. Let Bob Dias, president of North Bay Truck Body help you make your customized, personalized body. Call Bob at 707-864-2700 and visit his website at www.nbtb.com.

False Floor In Service Body Is Most Helpful

Robbins Quality Garage Doors, Inc was doing some work at the dealership we are working with and I just loved the way he has set up his service body. He has a false floor with some dividers to transport special items and keep them out of sight as well. You can't access them unless the door is opened. Notice the two ladders tucked in the larger compartment. Mr. Robbins says "you can never have enough ladders." The cargo area on the service body is lined with treadplate for additional durability.

This Harbor service body is mounted on a diesel HD 3/4-ton extended cab chassis with the LT1 package. That makes a sweet rig to move around in. Notice also the custom stainless steel rack that he's installed. It's designed to be able to carry large items up there like garage doors and have them well supported and an even load. Looks like this does the job.

If you're in Northern California and need some garage or industrial door work, including automatic gate systems, call Robbins' Quality Garage Doors, Inc. at 209-368-1159 in Lodi, CA or 209-744-1159 in Galt, CA.

The Harbor Gooseneck Rancher Body

The Harbor Rancher Body is a steel deck Gooseneck hitch body that is commonly seen on ranches and farms for horse trailers, equipment trailers, etc., etc. It comes with a recessed compartment with a cover and a Gooseneck hitch that is rated at up to 25,000 lbs. and up to 5,000 lb*. tongue weight. It has a 71" minimum trailer neck swing radius, integral trap door and safety chain anchors, tapered bulkhead, reflectorized sealed shock mounted and weather-tight lights.

The Harbor Rancher Body is manufactured by Knapheide Manufacturing and is available in the 99"x94" for 56" CA Dual Rear Chassis, 108"x90" and 108"x94" for 60" CA Dual Rear Chassis, and the 132"x90" and 132"x94" for the 84" CA Dual Rear Chassis. The 60" CA is the most popular which keeps the turning radius shorter.

(*Maximum capacity for the bed; however, the truck it is mounted on may not be rated this high. Consult truck manufacturer specs for maximum weight capacity.)

For more information on this and other great Harbor products, call 800-433-9452 for the sales team at the plant in Brea, CA. Please visit Harbor's website at www.htbi.net.

The Bright and Yellow Of It!

Of all the colors I would want out front besides Red, it would be Yellow. There's nothing quite like it to draw attention. That is the point of a display, right? If it doesn't draw attention, what good is it? Might as well park it out back with those other big white things. Not this one! This one goes front and center. Love this truck.

Thanks to Kimberly at Harbor Truck Bodies for this shot and thanks to Rugby Manufacturing for the nice looking dump body. Give Kimberly a call at 800-433-9452 and have her build one for you!

Taller Tailgate Is An Inexpensive Option

Many manufacturers offer taller tailgates than the standard. You don't see them very often, but I think if more prospects knew of it as an option, there would be more to see.

This is an example of a 19" optional tailgate on a body built by Harbor Truck Bodies in Brea, CA. There are some shots here of it closed and laying down. This particular body happens to have a raised cargo bed enclosure as well as a horizontal series on the curbside. Of course, Harbor is famous for their standard Stainless Steel lids.

56" High Service/Utility Body With Cargo Bed Enclosure On SRW Truck

This is a functional beauty! This is a 56" tall Harbor Service/Utility Body mounted on a single rear wheel super cab truck. Though it is not designed to carry lead, it has considerable space for lighter weight items. The shelving is movable, so the space can be designed at will. In addition, this has a somewhat taller 19" tailgate, and a 3-piece Cargo Bed Enclosure, and a Stainless Steel Vise Bracket. Notice also that the horizontal compartment over the rear wheel is not vertical. All in all, this makes a sweet package.
